The 1.5" Mechanical Lock is the premium standing seam system in our lineup. Unlike snap lock or nail strip panels, the mechanical lock seam is formed after installation using a mechanical seamer — the seam is physically folded and locked, creating a 180-degree double lock that is weather-tight, structurally superior, and built to last for decades without seam failure.
It's the panel of choice for low-slope applications, high-performance commercial roofing, and any project where the architect or engineer has specified a mechanically seamed system. The floating clip design allows the panels to expand and contract freely with temperature changes — critical in eastern Idaho's climate where temperature swings between seasons are extreme.
