About the 2" Mechanical Lock Panel
The 2" Mechanical Lock is our deepest seam standing seam panel — and the right call when a project pushes into territory where no other panel in our lineup can go. With a minimum slope of .5/12 on steel and 2/12 on aluminum, and the ability to span open framing without a solid substrate, it covers the applications that lower seam panels and snap lock systems simply aren't rated for.
Like the 1.5" Mechanical Lock, the seam is physically folded and locked after installation using a mechanical seamer — creating a 180-degree double lock that is weather-tight and built to perform for decades. The floating clip system allows full thermal movement across the panel run. Single or double lock options are available depending on project requirements. This panel is also approved for Weathergate Warranties.
